When all you need is to pick my brain for a couple of hours, someone to reassure you that you’re on the right track, an expert to bounce ideas off or offer a second opinion, this consulting service is right for you.
We meet, you pick my brain, and I invoice for the time. Easy peasy.
Reno Queen
You’ve got renovation experience or want to be really hands-on? Fabulous! This design service includes the essentials- design, council submission through to approval, and electrical and lighting design.
The basics that you need to bring your dream to life.
Perfect In-Betweener
More than the essentials, but not a full architectural service. Included are all the nitty-gritty of the Reno Queen plus special extras.
Think more detailed drawings, leaving room for no error on site. Designing key items of joinery like your kitchen, scullery, and dressing room, the ones that tend to come with a heftier price tag. Multiple rounds of builders’ estimates and quotes as the design progresses.
All the details that make sure your build can be costed accurately to avoid surprises.
Peace of mind
A full architectural service from design to approval to build to handing you your front door keys.
Building on from the Perfect In-Betweener, this design service gives you loads of support. I help with every aspect of your build, from the sourcing of finishes, detailed bathroom layouts, design of all joinery and project supervision.
I deal with all of the hard stuff, leaving you to enjoy seeing your home rise from the ground- and with complete peace of mind that it’s as you envisaged.
And how do I help you?
Architecture can be intimidating but I don't believe in using big fancy words and complicated processes. I want you to understand, feel comfortable and enjoy this adventure. So I've developed a simple way of working with you.
I base my fees on my actual involvement rather than a percentage of your build cost. I divide your project into different stages of work. Where I can easily anticipate what's required of me, I work at a fixed rate. Where stages are out of my control, like heritage or council approval, I give you an estimated cost based on my hourly rate.
Working with Jenny is relaxing as she communicates well both with us and council. She was efficient at getting our plans approved through council and heritage including all our departures which is no mean feat.
Jenny does not try and push her ideas onto the project like many other architects and respects the client and what they wish to achieve but also offers guidance.
